Cabell/Asbury Wedding
I almost had a stroke when my Aunt Linda called me and told me she was getting married in 9 weeks at one of the largest hotels in West Virginia’s capitol city, Charleston.
My head immediately went into event planning mode as I calmly asked her if she had ordered invitations, decided on decorations, or met with vendors. She informed me that not only had none of those tasks been started, but she had also not yet purchased a wedding dress.
Although I knew we could get it all done, even with a weeks notice, I knew we needed to get started immediately planning so she could have the best day, and I am proud to say that she did! Linda Cabell married David Asbury on September 30, 2020 at the Marriott in Charleston, WV and I was proud to serve as her Event Planner. I coordinated every single detail of this event, with her wedding vision and budget in mind. I met with vendors, ordered desired items, and built a schedule for the day-of. I designed and ordered her invitations and my mother and I built her flowers. It was such a great day and fun memory for our family.

Frank Pulice, Jr. Retirement Party
In 2014, when Frank Pulice, Jr., Executive Director of the Fairmont General Hospital Foundation, decided to retire, we immediately jumped at the opportunity to plan him a retirement celebration. With over 50 years of service to the Marion County community, it became a hard task to finalize the guest list since everyone in town hoped to get an invitation.
We celebrated in style at the Knights of Columbus, of which Frank is a member, and everyone who attended enjoyed hearing stories from over the years of working with Frank. The evening highlighted the “who’s who” of Marion County giving personal testimonies of their experiences with Frank, dinner, and toasts to celebrate the retiree.

Bias/Harrell wedding
When my best friend, Ashton, asked me to serve as a bridesmaid in her wedding, I was ecstatic! A few weeks before her wedding, when she asked if I could assist with some of the prep for the day-of, I was nervous but excited to test my skills as a bridesmaid and day-of event planner. Ashton Bias married Ray Harrell, Jr. at the “Top of the Rock” in New York City on February 24, 2019.
On the morning of her wedding after getting my hair done as part of my bridesmaids duties, I rushed to Rockefeller Center and met with her on-site coordinator to ensure that everything was set up according to Ashton’s instructions.
Throughout the day, I carried Ashton’s phone and provided instruction to vendors on how to access the facility and where to set-up. This event had the opportunity to work with various vendors that I had never worked with including a live event painter and a nationally recognized venue - “The Top of the Rock!”
